Does the rail come stock?

That's a better version of my paint mess!
Did you tap/drill the rail to fit the two stud holes or is it glued on?

Its been tapped, and no it does not come stock like that.

And if you look closely you can see I taped the dials, so I can still see the numbers after the paintjob.
