My Stock M28 kinda caved at 500 rounds, what with magazines miss-feeding, and the trigger sears weakening enough to begin slam firing etc. So I have decided to get all of the available upgardes for the rifle and hope for the best.

Since this video was made, I have found that many of the well known VSR-10 hop-up chambers will not fit this rifle, and as of this post, there no replacement cyclider sets or pistons.

With that said, I have implemented the following upgrades that should drastically improve the consistency and accuracy of my M28:

1) Masamune 6.01 515mm Barrel (specific to the M28)

2) AirsoftGI (Action Army) VSR-10 bucking

3) AirsoftGI reinforced sear set

The sear set was installed soon after the one and only slam fire that I experienced with the rifle. The new barrel and bucking were installed last night, and are still dependant on a good round of zeroing in before I can say whether or not they will work as intended.

Finally, I have opted to try .43g ammo, in particular, Javelin brand .43's.

I am leary of the color, as I will more than likely not be able to see where my shots go. They are listed as purple, but they may as well be invisible or Jet Black.

I do have a fall back plan, I have also purchased a lighter spring, a Laylax SP130, so that I might save my sears, and still use the .30g KSC ammo. More testing to follow this weekend. If the miss-feeding magazines issue does not work itself out, then all may be for not... the magazines are unserviable and they just plain suck! I said so from the begining.

So this is my monthly target rifle, if all goes well.

The label on the package states they have an "Extra Smooth Surface Polish" but I wanted to wash these as you have indicated, hoping they can help cure my ill. Hopefully I can use these to compete...

Update:

I'm getting close to having a target rifle ready... but the factory magazines may be the death of this project unless I can find more. Here is video of today's shooting, which shows a vast improvement in performance over day #1, but it also hilites how fast the magazines have deteriorated on this platform...shameful.

WAIT!?!? It is compatible with vsr barrels and sears?

Yeah, don't read to much into that, the barrel, bucking and sears have saved my butt, but this rifle really needs a cylinder set and magazines. But yes, there are three upgrades available for the M28, with the barrel being the only true new upgrade to hit the market.

Oh how I wish I could gain access to the inside of these mags... unfortunately they are pretty much disposable.

Echo1 have released a metal mag for the M28, maybe this would be an inprovement?

Are you asking "if" they release a metal mag... or are you telling they "have" released a metal mag?

"If" they release a metal mag, then it has got to be better than the cheapy plastic one they have now...

"Have" they released a metal mag... then send me a link?

ECHO1 has also released 15 different replacement parts for the M28, including a new hop-up chamber, which I may be in need of soon.
