Hey guys, I picked up a Well G96 Gas sniper rifle. And all that is wrong with it is the gas fill valve on the magazine is shot. So I need to pick up a new one. I looked on Redwolf, and they had the one for the Star for only 5$ but it was out of stock.

Then on eHobyasia, they had the one for the Ares, but its like 10$ for a valve. plus shipping. Again, out of stock.

And I havent been able to locate one here in the states yet.

Additionally Im looking for magazines for this gun. The ares ones are like 71$ at Red Wolf. And the Well mags are only 29 at eHobby Asia. However they want 30$ shipping as well.

Any suggestions people ??

Well the original fill valve was out of stock everywhere. Although EhobbyAsia did E-mail me and tell me that in about a month they will have some more.

SO I slid off the floor plate on the magazine, and drilled and tapped the bottom of the gas chamber for a new valve. I got a valve for a pistol magazine at a local store and Tada its done. Gun works great.

because if I wanted a remote line strung around my body, Id continue playing paintball.

If at a future date, I decide to go HPA, Id have to investigate a way to keep the entire system internal to the gun. I wouldnt want anything except a pressure gauge to be seen. Additionally I want to see a way to make the HPA assembly totally intergal to the rifle. Especially the valve and bolt assembly. then when you change magazines, you do not have to dissconnect anything from the gun except the bb storage.

But untill I design or discover a way to do that, Ill just stick with my Gas magazines that I can change out quickly as needed.

You see, the Well G96D has the 23 - 30 round magazine gas resivor of the Ares/Star guns. But only has a 10 round capacity. Which means you can shoot the 10 rounds without worrying much about cooldown. Its one of the features that sold me on this gun.
