Well my wonderful wife bought me a very nice airbrush for xmas. So today I stopped by the local hobby shop, and grabbed a few different colors of paint. I got home and started to lay out what I wanted to do.
I started off with the stock of a CA M24. I first laid down a base coat of khaki and left the rifle sit for a day or two, just to make sure that the base coat was good and dry. And then sit and wait for a few "goodies" to come for my air brush.
Today in the mail came the parts that I was waiting for. So I wasted no time in getting set up and spraying some paint. The paint that I was using is a water based paint, so there is no nasty smell and with that no wife complaining about the smell
Well here is what I started with........
Here is the equipment that I used.....
Iwata airbrush kit, with various paint
After an hour or so of playing with the brush, and getting used to it, this is what I was able to do...........
wait for it...
wait for it...
Left side of the stock, entire stock
Close up of the left side
Front tip of the stock
Right side of the stock
Now this is just the first thing that I have airbrushed in a very long time. The last thing that I airbrushed was an airplane model while I was still in jr. high. So it has been quite some time.
Let me know what you guys think! As soon as the paint is dry I will put the rifle in her and get a complete picture.
