Yes, it is a 90 degree piston, no it doesn't fit in an M28. Thanks again Evike for your false advertising.

Not mention there is no rubber pad to dampen the shot into the cylinder nozzle... This piston does seem to work though, but it is hard on the trigger group, when you pit a 90 degree piston against a 45 degree sear. There is a player over at Arnies who reported on his experience with the new piston in his M28... I would post a link, but if you do not have an account at Arnie's you can't read the thread anyways.

Well I installed it in my M28 and it does not function. The upgraded 45 degree sear (http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/DeepFire_VSR_10_Trigger_Sear_p/77734.htm) just can not grab it. I then modified the stock sear to try and make that work. Although I was able to dremel off enough of the sear to grab this piston I could not get the trigger to function, as (I found out) that the 45 degree piston is essential to the trigger mechanism functioning properly. Thus I am back to square one. Great gun, fully upgraded, but I can not find a metal piston that works. Thus I am stuck purchasing another crap plastic piston from Echo1. When this gun functions it shoots like a dream. Frustrating...

PS Dragon64 I really appreciate all your Youtube tutorials on this gun. They have been VERY helpful.

The fact that the piston end is aluminum concerns me. My fear is that since it's far softer than the hardened steel sears it will wear quickly (though probably not as quickly as plastic. That's why pretty much all other pistons have aluminum bodies to keep the weight reasonable, but a steel piston end to catch the sear.

Just FYI while ordering an new stock plastic piston for my M28 from Echo1 I shot them a question on when to expect an upgraded piston. Here is their response:

"Hi, we are still working on the upgrade parts. You can use vsr10 parts for the trigger parts and the piston with a spacer."

Take it for what it is worth.

I wonder if there is any info out there on the elusive "spacer" that Echo1 is eluding too (?)
