Hello to everyone, just joined the forum to gain info on my current build.
I am a long time tech building and improving factory guns internally and externally as best I can - I have an extremely sharp eye for detail and I add this to my builds.
I am a Fitter/Turner by trade gained from a military background which helps a lot if I ever have to machine parts.
Currently I am drawing plans and 'workarounds' for a Snow Wolf M107 to be a far more authentic representation by machining various parts and adding a Socom Gear magazine.
My previous builds are EDM Arms M97 (Ares EDM200) HK G28 DMR (VFC, complete with the Kitagawa S&B PM repro optic) AI AW338 (Ares AW338) DSR-1 (Ares) and HK PSG-1 (Marui)

I can't stand Ares for the most part, but you seem to have managed to find the better ones and then fine-tuned them. More pics!

What exactly are you doing for the M107 in parts? I'm a machinist as well, but only deal with manual machines so my parts never get too complicated or intricate.

The Snow Wolf M82/M107 Barrett rifles are missing a lot of the visible internal parts seen through the cooling vents in the side of the receivers - like the rear barrel collar and springs as well as the mating surface on the chamber end of the barrel which the collar locks into. I'll be turning the black coloured part seen around the chamber and tapping the sides so that the two screws seen on the sides of the M107 can secure this in place. I will also be turning the cone shaped part of the barrel seen in front of the recoil collar, and then milling the front and rear collars themselves. All parts will be Cerakote' as close to the real-steel as I can get, most likely a custom mix dark parker colour. I will also be removing the rear angled sling point (incorrect to the M107) and machining a proper M107 type sling point and installing it on top rear of the upper receiver. I will be adding the "pin" to the upper rear of the selector lever which isnt on the Snow Wolf, and also be fabricating a correct shape charging handle as well as reworking the "bolt" to better replicate the real steel version, I haven't fully figured this part out yet but no doubt it will come to me in time - same can be said of the Snow Wolf magazine which is just truly awful and with it being snack-sized takes from the good of it.
I have bought a SOCOM Gear M82 magazine and I will be machining the lower receiver and no doubt the magazine itself to accomodate this.
I intend on getting deep fiber-laser "BARRETT M107" trades engraved as per the original, also removing the selector stop on the receiver where the Snow Wolf selector goes around to fully auto - this will be ground off and a stop fabricated and installed in the receiver to limit the selectors movement past semi, and an overall upper and lower receivers Cerakote matt dark parkerised colour, and the black parts like the barrel, muzzle brake and one of the machined parts will be Cerakote H-146 Graphite black - same as my Ares EDM Arms M97... aaaand I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but I'll take plenty of pics once I start work on it and post them up.

One question, about your M97, I hear somewhere that the barrel nut is compatible with standard M4 aegs barrel nut, might you want to confirm this? Greatly appreciated!

That's an interesting question, I have no idea if it is compatible although from memory it would be very similar in size and thread pitch...

If that happens to be true, M97 would be a wallhanger dreams with all the cool handguards AR15s has.
