So I'm a car forum guy who has been playing paintball for 3-4 years with a T-9 first strike kit, so i've played similar sports and have been on forums. Basically I got back from Iraq a year ago with the Army Reserve and have the hankering to plink at things in my back yard. I live in town so an actual firearm doesn't work so well, however I can get away with an airsoft. Plan on playing a game or two with some friends. Just picked up a type 96 and mounting up a red dot on it for now.

my questions (i searched and i'm lost on this forum)
1. whats the best upgrade for accuracy for this?
2. What is the best distance/power upgrade?
3. What is the most economical upgrade?

Thanks in advance and here comes the traditional newbie flaming

AGM is a clone in shape only, the internals are completely different than a Maruzen so the upgrade kit will not work. To my knowledge, there are little if any upgrades for the AGM L96.

Make an intro post my friend, please.

Also, Dragon's right. You could try a TBB and new bucking/nub, but I don't know if there are many others that would work in this replica...

Some DIY mods might work, imporve compression with teflon tape, tape the end of the spring, stuff like that. PM me for specifics, if you want.

Dorny, an intro post goes in the beginner section. Just tell us a little about yourself there.

Also, please use propper grammar and punctuation here, as it is a rule, and refrain from double posting and just use the edit button.

The AGM l96 is different from the maruzen as it takes l96 and vsr 10 parts, and is very confusing. I had my hands on one, and it is very different from the UTG which is maruzen part compatible.

I cannot help you out much with this. I recommend getting a UTG for a base platform, as the AGM l96 is far from a l96 internally, itleast in my opinion. There is much info on the UTG l96, as it is easier to upgrade, has more guides, and you know 100% what parts work.

Also, thank you for your service.
