New Sniper

Hi!

I'm new to sniping, currently waiting on my parts to arrive so I can assemble it before next month's game day.

My name's Oscar, I've been playing in the UK for a couple years but got taken out by COVID closing sites down and then sudden disability! I've managed to convince my gf to help me play now though!

I have a specna arms Edge E-11, a soon to be upgraded JG BAR-10 and a WE F226. Looking to get an ICS L85 with DD rails later in the year.

I've been looking for a metal trigger guard that would fit my VSR-10 build that wasn't a PDI (since the cost is insane!). I was wondering whether the Barrett one could fit in a VSR/be easily modified to fit?

Thanks in advance everyone!

Hey there

I think there's a lot of metal trigger guards out there, but most of the stock ones are pot metal. After looking at pictures, the Barrett seems like a gamble as it doesn't really look like a VSR one.
I'd look at these 3, they're cheaper than PDI and will definitely fit your stuff.

Hey,
As you said the shape is very clearly different from VSRs especially with the thinner top however it doesn't look like the screw placement is too different so I was considering placing a shim above it between the trigger unit and guard to hold it at the right height.

I appreciate the suggestions, but given I'm in the UK the shipping is $40 for a $40 part + import duty and import VAT would bring it to probably around $96-$100, at which point I might as well have gone for the PDI haha. Aesthetic VSR parts appear to generally just be a lot less available over here annoyingly.

I'm honestly considering getting a machine shop near me to do a one off for me if I can get a 3d model of one. Same with a wooden VSR stock, but I could make that myself.

To anyone who might find this in the future, the Barrett Trigger Guard doesn't fit VSR-10s - I emailed APS and they confirmed this
