Hi everyone, I have a UTG L96 and a ghillie suit and I own a sniper with like 10 clips....
... Just kidding!
I'm Gunny87, the name is Kevin, and I also frequently visit and contribute on ASF, MIA, and a few other forums! I'd like to say hello to my MIA bretheren and also to everyone else here!
There seems to be a lot of great content on this forum dealing with the lethal art of being a sniper. And I figured I would join and learn a little more about it.
Figured I would join because I've always prefered playing the role, not soo much in using a bolt action, and wearing a ghillie suit in the traditional sense, but in how I play. Which is usually taking careful consideration of my surroundings and finding the most ideal spot for concealment, range, and cover.
I also usually prefer to stay in cover longer and ambush people rather than run around alot. I've even stayed in some spots during games for up to an hour or longer (if my location wasn't compromised) just to get a nice kill or two.
I've owned a TM VSR-10, and a KJW M700 in the past, but seem to prefer using a DMR. Personally I always favored having that quick follow up shot that an AEG DMR can provide.
I know some of you might say well "one shot-one kill" kind of thing that bolt actions may provide, but for playing airsoft we don't have that luxury that a real steel rifle can provide, although it's more than possible and I'm sure some of you really good snipers can do it!
Anyways I've been in the sport off and on since like 99 when I was a wee little lad and got my first springer, but I'm amazed how the sport has progressed over that last decade.
Well figured that's about enough, hope to have the opportunity to be able to contribute as well as absorbing a lot of the information many of you have provided and continue to provide on here!
