So I'm looking at buying a Novritsch tuning kit for my TM VSR 10 G-spec, However I'm presented with the issue of do I go for the standard 303mm Barrel or the longer 503 Barrel that goes right to the end of the suppressor? I've read that longer Barrels don't necessarily add accuracy but the longer length gives the BB more chance to get up to a higher velocity, on the other hand I've also read that because of the cylinder volume a shorter barrel works better with a heavier weight BB and a longer barrel doesn't really add anything apart from maybe slow the BB down or even knock it around whilst the BB is traveling through it. I've been Sniping for a little while now with a semi upgraded rifle (only the spring and hop bucking have been changed(440FPS spring)) and haven't really had the cash to really upgrade it further, but I've been saving and I now have the cash to do so. What I want to know is if anyone has bought a tuning kit from novrisch and what their experience with it is, and which they feel is best for the VSR 10 G-spec

Thank you in advance

Killerdad has the right idea but his recommendations are a little off.
Here is the correct barrel lengths to get the most energy out of a heavy weight bb. (So it is tuned for the heavy bb not the light 0.2gm.)

.3gm bb use a 554mm barrel (15821 mm^3) = 2.26:1
0.32gm bb use a 530mm barrel (15136 mm^3) = 2.36:1
0.36gm bb use a 500mm barrel (14279 mm^3) = 2.51:1
0.4gm bb use a 470mm barrel (13422 mm^3) = 2.67:1

0.43gm bb use a 430mm barrel (12279 mm^3) = 2.92:1
0.45gm bb use a 400mm Barrel (11423 mm^3) = 3.13:1

You might want to read through my guide as there is a lot of important info on there that will help you get very good range. http://www.airsoftsniperforum.com/41-vsr-rifles/6075-advanced-vsr-sniper-building-guide.html

Just make sure you have enough energy to push the bb long distances. My guide will give you an idea of what will work.

You will most likely find that a 0.36gm bb will be better with a 500mm long inner barrel. Or at the most, you could use a 0.4gm with a 470mm barrel. If you are to use the 0.4gm bb's try to get the fps at the higher range.

I'm currently using a 0.4 on my Gspec, with the only upgrade being a reinforced hop rubber and a 450FPS spring, I had found that 0.3's where being blown around too much, although i still have the stock barrel length, But as i said the new length of the barrel should be 430mm, same as on the TM pro sniper

430mm is the best universal length. You can use anything from 0.2-0.43gm. Even 0.45gm will be OK too.
You will find the longer barrel better for your bb weight than the short 300mm.
The lighter 0.3gm bb's will get blown around more but they will most likely get more range than the 0.4gm as the rifle does not have the energy to push the bb out long ranges without excessive hopup (Excessive hopup makes the rifle inaccurate). So there is a trade off with the lighter bb. Range vs accuracy. At 450fps, I normally use 0.32gm and these also can get blown around. So in reality, the more fps, the better as you can use heaver bb's.

On a side note: People used to say that "high fps does not make your gun accurate" but to me they had little experience with teching. The higher the energy of a rifle, means you can pair it with a heaver bb and in turn you can get more range and more accuracy.

Would you recommend the ML Crazy Jet 6,01 410mm for 0,45's on 500 fps +-? Thanks.
No. At 500fps I would use a 0.36gm and a 500mm inner barrel. This will fit right to the end of a G-Spec silencer but not stick out. On the Pro VSR you will need a silencer as it will stick out a little.
