Pretty sure it's advised to stay away from WD40 for lubricating your guns? :L ANyone back me up here?

I agree. I only use white lithium grease, and pure silicon lube. The grease is cheap too.
I used to use silicon lube spray, but I feared it had petroleum in it. I started using white lithium grease a little while ago And it works great. I got it in a 10 oz weight tub thats going to last me years at the rate I'm using it. The problem with sprays is they sometimes have petroleum as the propellant which will disolve the delicate rubber bucking and o-rings.
Only silicon oil on o-rings ans rubber pieces! You can use whatever lubricant on the metal parts but not on rubber parts!

The white lithium grease is used for airsoft specifically because it can be used on o-rings without a problem.
I use a food grade silicone oil with teflon and it works great. It leaves a slight film on the parts to reduce friction for longer periods of time.

Never use wd-40, it destroys rubber parts. And never use regular silicone spray or grease (obviously) in a barrel.
But doesnt white lithium have petrolium in it?? I only use that for my gears but I wont let it near anything plastic or rubber.. cause its petroleum! Lol..

I use paintball marker oil.. its all synthetic..
Soem white lithiums do, some dont. The wd40 nono is also because of the petroleum. The stuff the OP mentioned is also non petrolium and is 100% silicone. Personally I use "di-electric grease"

I know I can clean my barrels with alcohol. Then I would clean them with a barrel cleaning cloth. After this do I lube it? If so with what?

Dude that di electric spray rocks!!!

And no Kranium, dont grease your inner barrel, infact keep all lubes far away from the hopup, inner barrel and your bb's.

You want to keep your barrel as dry as possible. As for the white lithium grease and petroleum, I have a 10 oz eight tub of the stuff (not the spray), and on the side it says "contains petroleum oil (grease)." I tested it out on an old bucking I have that was ripped and should have been thrown away. Put the grease on half of it, kept the other half completely clean. After three weeks if being left alone I cleaned it off and compared the sides. They were completely identical. The petroleum oil in the white lithium grease did nothing to it. Now I use it on all my o-rings with no problem.
I agree di-electric grease is great, Im thinking of giving my trigger contacts a dab of it too, since thats what its for, well battery contacts on lead-acid batteries anyway.
I use shower gel and shampoo when 'oiling' the sniper. I rub over my skin and then rinse with hot water. ;)

Oh, you mean sniper rifle? +1 to white lithium grease!
