I am no expert designer, but the leader for the best team around here(in my opinion, I really respect them and look up to them) ,Shadow Pack, once said that a patch or insignia must have a lot of representation and meaning. This is what he said about his patch/symbol:
"The three pawprints represent the founding members of Shadow Pack (the Bear, the Wolf, and the Cougar). It also represents their strengths, Bear=Strength / Solidarity, Wolf=Pack Loyalty / Cunning, Cougar=Speed / Stealth.
The three bars represent the colors of the American flag and everything that infers.
The shape of the patch represents a spear head, and that we strive to be at the front of the battle, the spearhead of an offensive push."
