Hello y'all,
I'm thinking getting rid of my AA HopUp for the PDI HopUp. I'm also getting their AEG cut sniper barrel. Since I had a full AA VSR-10 build, I was wondering if the PDI HopUp would be compatible with the AA Teflon cylinder & head.

Thank you,
Elsa

Yes, it should be compatible. Actually the PDI chamber has a wider entry, so the Bore Up cylinder head could fit.

But let me ask you something. Why do you plan on downgrading your hop up chamber?
Hello,
I was browsing some older posts, and they say that PDI HopUp chambers are better if you put loads of time into it. As I'm currently out of school all I have is time, and I am very bored. So I thought to myself, "What's the most ime consuming thing I can do? Lets tune a PDI Chamber!" I also want to say PDI later in gun descriptions...

As someone who has tried both chambers through and through, I would recommend against it. For two reasons:

-They are harder to tune right. Every time you take the gun apart to clean you have to redo this process. The dual arm setup is trickier to adjust. Now, a double arm setup can work (and I actually kinda like them even if they are harder to adjust :hehe:) but there's a really big reason to stay clear of this chamber:
-They use AEG buckings, which have inferior airseal. You just aren't going to manage 100% on an AEG bucking, whereas it's easy with a VSR bucking. VSR buckings are also simply more accurate than AEG buckings. And yes, you could do an R-hop and get the same degree of accuracy but you'll always have inferior airseal.

"Downgrading", as Oddsyns puts it, is indeed the right word. The posts you read were all made before the AA chamber was released, back when the options were basically PDI or tuning the stock chamber. With the AA chamber around, there's just no comparison

PDI does everything better than AA (in my opinion) with the sole exception being the chamber :hehe:

I envy your will to work.
Although I might warn you on something: If you do a flawless work, you will just reach the same result an AA Chamber can get you out of the box.
It seals the bucking on it's entire lenght, it fits 100% aligned with the chamber, it has a built in TDC, it accepts aftermarket nubs, and more importantly, it has only arm.

Even though you work your ass off and make a perfect PDI Chamber, you will get to the same level the AA is, out of the box.

Okay. Thank you for letting me know before I spend some time and money on it. X-Fire is the place to order from for PDI right? I've only used stateside before.
Thank you,
