PDI m40a3 worth the asking price?

The parts are as follows:
High power stainless steel cylinder withstands the use of high power upgrades. Designed by PDI, shoots at 400fps
Full metal aluminum alloy barrel, trigger, and bolt assembly...

...and a 90 degree seer from what i heard, but is there anything that needs a upgrade in the gun for someone who is using it as a mid level player?

and does anybody know the barrel size in the PDI custom m40a3(in mm)? also is the hopup upgradable or even good with the stock version?

I am looking for the best gun out of the box, and this gun looks to be it for the price range(~300CAD=215 usd) and i am looking for good accuracy for around 100m. I wanted to get a sniper with a external mag, but i like the sleeker look over a l96 looking gun(if only the STRIKER 1 had more air volume for future proofing)

Make an intro post, please.

If you're serious about sniping 200 bucks won't cut it.

Do some research there's tons of info on this forum

RAVEN M40A3 pdi.jp this one?

cheers
Like doc7 said... 200 bucks won't cut it bro. To get a BAR to shoot 100m takes a lot of tuning and a lot of parts.
That gun should be a decent gun but it takes a lot of fine tuning to get 100 meters. To be realistic you might be good at 70 with that
Its defently not a PDI m40a3 . Its inspired by PDI but has not been build or corporated with them .

I own the cm700 and s&t m40a3 which PDI also sells , good bang for the buck and with simple mods and new pdi spring guide and piston it runs good

The Japanese yen is worth $0.85 last time I checked. ?
i used google to convert and it adjust itself to current values
You are totally correct! Missed a zero! My bad!

Seems like people are too willing to spend extreme amounts of money to get mediocre performance these days.. goes for anything really. Cars, boats etc. just to have the brand name is important enough.
PDI isn't just a brand name, they been making high quality parts for BARs for a long time and one of the only company's that have been making complete rifles. items like receivers, outer barrels, and stocks have only become available recently from other manufactures but PDI has been selling everything to build a BAR from the ground up for at least the last 7 years I've been involved in airsoft, and probably longer. All other manufactures are just catching up and at best are trying to match PDI quality. Japanese take there hobbies and engineering very serious and make some of the highest quality parts around.
Having lived in Japan I know exactly what you mean.

My comment is just a simple reflection on the unwillingness to spend the "sweat equity" on a quality item.

Yes PDI is great. I plan on going to their shop next month when back in Japan. I will probably grab a few things even.
the one i linked is priced a little better. But it has their raven line of parts in it. I is better to just buy a vsr compatible cheap rifle and buy pdi parts for it and fit them yourself. Order from xfire.

I do not plan to buy the replica at that value. But I think this is the place where you comment the options offered by the market.

And the "sweat equity"
You may be surprised by the time, sweat and sometimes fustration that requires a setup

This is just conversion Kit,not whole gun.

And I think you're right, with time, it's better to buy parts separately in X-Fire
