hello there, im new here, and have been playing for roughly 5 months. I love it!! so i want to not be an asshole and just start asking questions, this is my current setup.

i am a minimalist, the simpler something is, the better
tefloned 6.01 509mm TBB
angel custom bucking and cylinder
matrix seal components
regular ass scope from a .22

ok heres my issue, i have a m130 spring in this and have already stripped two pistons this week, it is semi auto.

can you recommend a good piston that can withstand this? i hoping to eventually put m150 spring in this.

btw im new at airsoft not at shooting

OK- fair warning, even though I've played for a while, I'm a total noob as far as internals, etc.

So- things that I have seen my more knowledgeable friends ask/do/mention-

1)Is the gearbox full metal?
2)Have you shimmed the gearbox?
3)Have you done the gear tooth mod (which I believe is where the gears engage with the piston, I'll try and find you a link that explains it) http://airsoft-guns-blog.pyramydair.com/2010/11/aeg-piston-mods-removing-teeth-is.html

Whenever one of my AEGs has issues, these questions seem to be asked off the bat.

Oh, and what type of battery and voltage are you using?

Also, are you seeing BBs jam with that 6.01 barrel? Ever have double feeding issues, etc? Are you using a decent brand of BBs with it, and what weight?
Have you chronoed it (FPS with 0.20g BBs)?

yes metal, shimmed and took the second tooth off both pistons
but still after 100 shots or so then VRRRRRRMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM gears spin freely and my piston is zilcho

for now im using my mauser and dont get me wrong i love it i just want to be able to pick off people fast

i ran into a squad once, 5 guys all bunched up like idiots picked the sniper and the support gunner off then everyone scattered, i want to at least be able to get 4 out of 5 if the situation arises again

Someone posted this just yesterday and since you're new to the forum I highly recommend giving it a read.

If you have further AEG questions, try posting it in the Longrange AEGs section. People are more likely to help you if the thread is located there instead of the general section.

Your Angle of engagement might be bad. As for what piston you might want to use I have heard great things about the SHS half toothed piston.

I however currently run a prometheus hard piston in my dmr which shoots 460-470fps.

It also maybe that your battery or motor can't pull the spring, hence the gear teeth has to push hard into the piston teeth to move them.

Check the AOE as well.

Just removing the second tooth is not enough. You must Also correct the angle that the sector gear engages the piston, "aoe".

An shs 15 metal tooth piston will work great.
