Just use some basic hand soap. That way you don't have to worry about anything in the soap messing up with your internals.

Just use a flat head screwdriver to push that down. Either that or did you try to pull the trigger?

You should be able to pull the trigger to make the cylinder fall in, just make sure that the spring guide stop is all the way down.
