Hey, I'm Defgun. I'm pretty new here, as until now, I've been a normal grunt. I got sick of AEGs being finicky and dumb, so I got a UTG MK96... more on that later.

I'm from Southeast Michigan, I've been playing for a little over a year, I've been sniping cans for eight days. In addition to airsoft, I like to study Russian.

My current loadout is a set of woodland camo BDU's, an LC2 belt, and a ghillie throw (a piece of burlap painted in earthy tones... works pretty well).

I still need a secondary weapon, so recommendations are welcomed. I'd prefer some sort of small electric pistol/SMG (thinking of either a JG Scorpion or a CYMA CM030).

My MK96 also shoots a bit left, so any possible recommendations on a fix are welcome. It's probably due to barrel misalignment or parallax, but I have no clue... I'm new to this.

Hopefully, I'll be able to start contributing soon, and I look forward to doing so.

До Свидания,

Дефгун

Welcome.
You will need a Pdi hopup to fix it and a new barrel.
I would like to see your ghillie throw to. Put it up on the gallery.
Check the commerce I am selling some guns that might interest you.
It is under JG Bar10 Mp5 and random gear or something like that.
Besides that Welcome aboard.

I'm currently using King Arms .25g BBs. The use of Javelin .36g BBs did not do much to correct the problem... That's why I'm thinking it's parallax or misalignment of the barrel. Other than the left-shootingness, I'm happy with the performance of my rifle, so I don't plan to do anything to it until something breaks.

I'd love to post my ghillie throw, but it is still very, very much a work in progress... I still need tons more foliage and a lot more grime and use. I'll probably chalk my current rendition up for experience, and then make an improved version. I already know that I need something with bigger holes in the fabric (fit bigger bits and baubles), more green shades and light areas, a way to secure it to my person, and to not use simple burlap (coming apart already). That being said, I had my bro take some pictures of me hiding with it, and from the front I looked like an ever-so-slightly darker spot. That being said, I need to make ghillie covers for the backs of my legs, as they stuck out like multicam in a Russian Army impression.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Actually, It was me. I needed to get much closer to the scope... I had too much eye relief, and that caused an increase in the effects of parallax. Then I needed to adjust one click right, and now my rifle shoots dead-nuts accurate.

Oh okay. Atleast it is working. I thought the barrel was bent or the hopup system was dead. Till I remember if the hopup was dead the bbs would only travel like 10 feet.

Yeah, I've seen that happen. That being said, I'm getting some vertical imprecision at long range, so I'm probably going to start a logbook and write down the scope dope at certain ranges.
