Would you guys see this as a viable gun in airsoft? Why or why not?

Laylax did the pump-action stock for the Type-96 series. I think it works, but I like my gun to look real and feel real so I would always stick with a bolt.

would be good in some ways, and not so good in others. Are you talking RS or Airsoft?

In Airsoft I think a spring shotty with a slight magnification scope, R-hop, and some DIY mods could be sweet. Especially if you R-hopped a tri shot.

We used to play at a site that was VERY close quarters, I used to snipe with my tri shot, with a red dot on a forward picatiny rail I screwed on.

Top-middle was dead on kill bb, the other 2 were for if the middle 1 missed, or the target broke either left or right.... did more damage with that than AEG you could bring to the party :yup:

Brilliant bit of kit, and still goes to every game as my reserve back-up

I have a shotty that is deadly accurate and a few guys that I play with just hate the thing.
Is your base gun a Ca870 like mine? :X

I used a pump shotgun in a 'pistols & shotguns' match and killed a lot of people that had GBB's and AEP's. The field had a lot of 2 story buildings and I would just sit up there and hit people with the 0.28g's that I was using. The gun didn't even have sights or a stock; I just kinda got the feel of where the bb would go.

What shotgun? That sounds fun shooting people with a shotgun from a second story! :lmao:

WorstInFinlanD: One guy on finnish forum made vsr-10 into pump action rifle, fallout style!
My friend also has trishotty, shoots through bushes really well.
Do you have a link? Sounds very interesting!

I may attempt to do this, but I'd love to see a guide or picture as reference!

I couldn't find the video... but I remember he used the stock VSR spring with it (Japan). He had some sort of plastic attached where the bolt handle would have been, and the plastic traveled over the right side of the stock and under the stock.

I think metal would be better. I'd add a rail on the bottom for one of those magpul grips.

Ah! I can visualize that. Seems like a lot of work just to get it equally functional to 1-bb/shot shotguns.

In terms of BB accuracy and power, I see 1-bb/shot shotguns absolutely the same as any other sniper. The big differences are aesthetics and the pump-action. Not only that, but they're usually lighter and smaller.

I guess what I'm trying to say is... why the heck are snipers and shotguns so similar!? At least the 1bb shotties
