questionable sniper upgrade
I was looking to really push the performance of my echo 1 asr.. i already got my 6.01 tightbore and bucking, but i am looking for a little more. Instead of buying an upgrade kit, i looked into getting the sp190 spring and new trigger sears, both made by angel custom. Is this a good idea?

Why? This would really push the fps, making it about 600 fps with .2s. Would that spring still hurt my gun even with steel trigger sears?
Why do you need 600 fps? Most of us run nothing over 500 simply due to field limits and stress on internals.
Echo 1 ASRs also have a weak bolt that will get loose and/or break from repeated use of a heavy spring.
Well I would use .43 bbs to drop the fps down to almost 400. And can I just buy a better bolt?
Don't buy angel custom, and it doesn't matter if you shoot 0.43, they just hurt more.
Angel Custom Springs are one of the worst springs I've ever used. I own a m170 (5k+ shots) and an m190. They shoot 440 and 520 FPS respectively.
The m190 shot out of the package 510-540 FPS!
I own many other springs to check if the lower than expected FPS is my rifle's issue, but it's definitely the AC spring's bad quality.
My Laylax m170= 580 FPS
My Laylax m210= 670 FPS
I highly recommend to NOT buy Angel Custom Springs. ever. period.

The point of the 500fps limit is to limit joules. Even if you use heavier bbs to lower the fps, the joules will be higher because of the increased mass of the bb. Either way, I'm pretty sure they always test with .2g bbs from the start. I suggest geting the sp150 spring for field battles and sp170 spring for home shooting if you must have more than 500fps. But the sp190 is too powerful for any purpose you have for a powerful gun.
Okay, I might go with the sp170.. Do you think that spring with .43s would give me much better distance over a stock spring?
And would anybody know a airsoft site that would sell both trigger sears and springs? I don't want to pay for 2 shippings by getting them from separate sights
If you go with a higher spring I would go with a m170 for that gun.That will have plenty enough fps and again if you get the m170 dont go with angel custom.
Why shouldn't he g with angel custom? It's what I'm using and it seems to work fine for me. Maybe I just got lucky with this one? :shrug:

The reason Angel Customs springs are not recommended is because they compress too quickly.
