Hey guys,
what do you guys think a good range for an m4 is?
how does that compare to an m16?
thank you, i am trying to decide which one.

P.S. my field limits are crazy, 410 with a .25 for all AEG's.

All things being equal they should be about the same.

The trajectory will be flatter with the M16 due to the longer barrel though.

Good range for an m4? Depends on the model. My KWA CQBR can easily hit 170', while my JG m16 is around 165', maybe 170'. It depends on which you like better I guess. I'd go with KWA's 2GX m16, that should be less than 410 with a .25.

Bottom line: m4 vs. m16. Pretty similar range, but it depends on the manufacturerer. I dont quite know the stats, but I would say a barrel about 363mm (m4 length) and 509mm (m16 length) is good.

M16 is for precise burst firing while an M4 is just for putting a shitload of bb's in a very small area.

If your talking about Bad karma Field they raised em to 425 i think

For an out of the box DMR, definitely go with like a KWA SR10, or SR12.

Unless you are comparing stock M4s to M16s of equal brands it's kinda hard to compare them, but generally their performance is very similar.

since i am now able to fix my primary sniper rifle, i am going to get the m4 so that i can run as a regular rifleman with my team. i can also use it as a back-up aeg when i snipe.

Actually gunny it's close to impossible, for example comparing the Stag 15 and the GR-16 would be like comparing the Beatles and Metallica or a Viper and a Quattroporte S.
