R-Hop, and ER-hop

I've been hearing about this quite a bit on the forum, but I'm not exactly sure of what it is or how it works. As far as I understand, you take a piece of something(not sure on what the material, I think it might be bucking), and make it cover the cutout on the inner barrel as perfectly as you can. Supposedly this gives amazing performance, and naturally, I'm interested.

Can someone explain this to me in detail? I've searched around but I'm still not sure.
Is this compatible with the PDI chamber for the Type 96, and does it eliminate the need for a nub and bucking?

FOr pdi chamber wise I am clueless I have no idea. For the 2nd idea no. The nub still has to push down the r/er hop. THe bucking just provides a airseal. Check up HS5 and use google to your advantage. https://sites.google.com/site/hsarmory/
Yes, it is compatible with the PDI chamber, but it will need some milling, so I usually recommend sticking with the stock chamber and DIY a TDC system through the outer barrel.
Would a R-hop in stock chamber be better than a PDI chamber?
No difference, the PDI chamber will have better tolerances though. It would just require actual milling instead of a half-assed job with a dremel tool.
And what exactly is milling, and what would I have to mill.

If you have to ask, then you probably don't have the equipment for it. You should talk to Cheese Man about what you need done though; his prices are very reasonable compared to others.
Yeah I really don't have any equipment. I'll shoot him a PM in a sec. But just out of curiosity what exactly is milling, and what would you need to mill to get it to work?
You would need to mill the hop opening in the PDI chamber. Your other question can be answered with Google.

Hey cheese, would a stock chamber, new AEG TBB and R-hop, m-nub combo work?

Or should I get a hexagon unit and use that with the r-hop. Thanks.

Keep in mind that the HP units are out of stock at the moment (unless they just recently came back in). If they do get in though, I'd definitely recommend it for the price.
Well now I was actually going to get the ones whiuch are based off of the Hp-hop (Custom made by a fellow in England called dazZ)
Yeah, but the barrel needs to be machined to fit in the stock chamber, and you might need to machine that a bit too.
Alright, well what about an r-hop in the HP chamber? Will that require modding to the barrel or chamber?
Just, milling/dremmeling. Same as the PDI? Thanks BTW.
Milling, I would never dremel a hop chamber.

No problem, I do need $$ though, maybe I should stop.... :p
