I believe it is. They released VSR parts a while ago, like the same cylinder head.

That it's that bad, I'd prefer to be VSR clone that will have a tonn of replacement parts than a proprietary system with no spare parts at all (like Ares)

Yes, but you have to replace pretty much all of the expensive stuff to get it up to field performance.
