Hi guys, I took apart my rifle and noticed that on the outside of the cylinder there is a type of grease on it. I am wondering if I could use White Lithium Grease (non-petroleum based)to re-lube it. Also, when I was doing the Teflon Tape mod on the cylinder head, the piston also had a grease, but it was more 'oily'. I cleaned that off also, can I put in silicone oil in placed of what I just cleaned off?

Can I use White Lithium Grease to lube the outside of the cylinder, and Silicone Oil in the inside of the cylinder (the piston)?

Put a bit of white grease on the cylinder head after taping so that it sticks better and is easier to put back together.

And use white lithium grease on the outside and inside.

I use White Lithium Grease when I re-lube every month. I found it works very well!
