I had similar situation back in the winter. I had waited about 7min(>I've also taken a friends front tooth out at around 40m,after waiting for about 5min to take a body shot, he raised slightly higher over the banking so i took the shot but it went high and hit his top front tooth, which came clean out.
I have a friend who was admin a game at a local field. While he was waving his hand someone shot his hand with a very hot AEG and fractured his pinky. It got sore and he could no bend it. Later that day he checked in to a hospital to get X-rays and a splint. The kid of that field was banned with his AEG after they cronoed his AEG.I know one fella who got shot in the knuckle from about 150ft away, but this rifle he was shot with supposedly shot around 800fps. His knuckle is still sore to bend at times and this is a year later.
What if I want to shoot someone 150' away?I'm going to probably use this thread as a example to my friends on why they should follow safety rules, and wear eye protection. Also, I don't know why people need over 450fps, I have a 400fps shotgun that shoots about 80ft and can hit a body size target at about 70ft.
In a higher-power setup:... I don't know why people need over 450fps...
I would get a higher powered airsoft gun, but my friends are wimps and usually call themselves out even if i miss.In a higher-power setup:
- The impact is greater so people can actually call their hits.
- The BB travels to its intended target faster so there's less time between shot and impact. BB weight actually affects this a lot.
- There is an increase in effective range, but still not quite as much as an effective hop up system.
#1 IMHO is the only problem I have with lower-power setups. Higher-power setups also have many negatives, but safety is the key issue.
