Recommended rifle? Budget: 250 - 300 usd?

Hi, I'm new in the forum, but I got in love with the sniper role when I started playing years ago... since I had to sell my equipment because of "reasons", I'm outdated with the prices and new stuff.. so, that's it:

¿Which rifle would you guys recommend me to buy with a 250 - 300 usd budget?

I'm open to spring or gas.. but im looking forward for a rifle that can give me good range since I almost always play in very long distance scenarios..

NOTE: If I spend the whole $300, anyways I'm planning to get upgrades later
on. (When i get more money).

Yo le recomeindo un L96 de un fábrica llamada UTG, elos hacen un L96 qe necesita solo unos pocos modificaciones para poder usarlo en situaciones sobre gran distancia.

Por favor, haz un introducción según las reglas. Dentro de "New members and Introductions" lo puedes hacer.

Thanks cheeseman! I already posted my intro and will consider that rifle as an option.. any other suggestions??

The rifle i had when i started playing years ago was a 400 - 500fps L96.. but im not sure about which brand was it.. it came with scope and bipod too haha..

I agree with cheese.I personally own the UTG L96 with the well upgrade kit and a cut down factory spring, nothing else. Just give the barrel a good cleaning and the verticle crosshair will cover your bb for +150 ft. (its amazing what highschool spanish 1 can do)

Thanks a lot the1doperider, is that UTG L96 gas or spring?? ... actually I've always liked L96's but there are too many posts recommending and talking about that JG BAR 10 that i got a bit confused hahaha... and, what about the WELL MB04 G-22 AWM??

There is a lot of information regarding the pros of the BAR 10, but there is plenty of pros to the L96 aswell. Such and the 90 degree sears which are able to withstand stronger springs, a rather cheap full metal trigger box available via hitguns.com, a simpler hop up unit (as far as I know), and an over all pwning look, especially with a silencer that looks like mine

I'm not to familiar with the Well G-22 besides the fact that I know it's gas :\

I would go with something spring because it is just more reliable. If you go the gas route, it will slowly die down until you put more gas in, which will give you different fps every time you shoot. Gas's pressure also differs from cold to warm weather. Spring is just easier to handle and is always consistent.

hmmm ok, i dont want to make this post longer but.. it would be nice to see opinions about other options.. between the UTG L96, JG BAR 10, the WELL MB04 or the WELL version of the L96??

I think all those rifles are in about the same price and FPS range...

The UTG L96 is my personal favorite out of those, but the JG BAR-10 is also quite nice as a base for upgrades.

I remember my old Mk96. It was a very nice accurate rifle. I wasnt real big on the way the grip was so it was more difficult to rack the bolt fast like I can with a classic style stock. All in all the Utg mk96 is a great buy! Mine was v1 when it came shooting 550fps. Never had one problem. Though I suggest a weaker spring none the less.

If you like the look of the L96 then get the UTG MK.96, if not then get a bar-10. They're both good!

I think its woogie who has the youtube review of the WELL L96, and he said only get it if you definetly know you are going to be upgrading it.

Yeah the only thing i like from the WELL its the folding stock, adjustable cheek thing, adjustable shoulder pad, scope and basically a tripod

The thing is, I have no idea where to get it from and how much would it cost me plus the shipping to Mexico... By the way I got debit card only. :bs:

The guy that sells all the airsoft stuff here in my city offered me this L96
for 220usd... should i consider it??

No, that is a BAD L96. MAkesure you get a Well/UTG one. They are Petty good.
Or get a JG Bar-10.

They both preform simularly, it's just down to whcih you prefer the look of.

The bar10 does have more upgrades than the L96, but in my opinion the L96 looks better. Like grass says they both perform very similarly.

I normally try to stay away from Well things because I have had a lot of bad experience with them, but I can say this; I have had their mb-10 for a year and a half now, and there are no upgrades for it, but it can shoot a telephone pole at 200 feet with the iron sights I have on it.

I've decided to go for the UTG MK96 and work on de DIY mods... but Im not sure where can i get that rifle with included shipping to my place (Mexico) and I've no idea of how much will it cost

...

If you could tell me any page that shipps worldwide and accepts debit card as payment option I'd really appreciate it, since I'll have the money ready tomorrow morning =)
