I just realized how conveniently the way my local airsoft community (registered association by the way =D) has organized the guns tech board. There are to ground rules how to use that board:
1. Read the topics through. And reply to the SPECIFIC guns thread IF it doesn't solve your problem/question.
2. IF there is NO THREAD YET to the gun on hand THEN you may CREATE a NEW THREAD with a following heading say from TM Mp5K: "Mp5 and all it's variants.".
NOTE: Regardless the exact type of the gun the thread must be named with the MAIN TYPE of the gun.
Now the pro's and con's:
+ This kills the needless and annoying "80% identical posts of the same gun"-posts.
+ The total amount of threads stays small, thus it's easier to browse the board at hand for information.
+ All the various information about a single gun regardless of manufacturer, EXCEPT TO DEFINE THE POWER-TYPE: (AEG, gas, spring). I.e. RS SVD Dragunov and variants / AtoZ SVD Dragunov and variants. Is in the same one thread, all that's needed to do is to read the whole thing through.
- Since the different method of thread creation the always so very big and bad Mr. Necropost must be allowed to Others section and to be made clear of exclusiveness on this one single board.
-Threads will grow long... Over time. Yet 90% of all known web browsers nowadays include the mighty "Search" function so it should be easy to browse posted pages if one knows what is looking for. And if not then there is no reason to skip any posts yes?
As a conclusion I regard this method of posting to be a guaranteed success.
