It seems you have put alot of time and effort into this project. If it were me I would not be able to part with such a beautiful gun (I am also an owner of a tanaka m700 aics) after putting so much time into it.
But if you are interested in the project aspect and want to build another I say go ahead and sell it.
Hope that helps!

You've already upgraded it, so you'll never get your money back.
G&G G96 supposed to be Tanaka clone, it's also based on the M700, that's why many parts (including bolt) fit on both, actually I think only the mags won't fit.
I've handle the G96 once and to me it looked inferior quality than tanaka and i'm not even Tanaka fan!
You've already convert it to HPA so you're pretty much done, it's the best upgrade for it, you might want only a stiffer striker spring if you want more fps.
I'd say keep it if you're happy with it.

I would have to agree. When it comes to gas-in-mag BASRs, Tanaka is king.

Besides, it is like the TM thing. You can honestly say, "I own a Tanaka BASR, what are you gonna do about it?" The name Tanaka still generates some serious respect, especially when they see the little hose coming out of the magazine... ;)

That is a great looking rifle man. I am really digging the cammo that you did to it.

But like others have said... if you already have all of that into the rifle, why not keep it. And start off with the G&G and go from there. No need to get rid of a nice rifle.

BUT.....

If you are like me and love to work on the rifles, and mod them out, I say go for it. Get what you can out of the rifle, and then get the G&G and upgrade to your hearts desire!!

Allright thx for your answers.

Now I am doing it completely different. I sell it. So I can start my SYSTEMA SPR Projekt earlier.

But thx for you help, dudes.

One more reason for my question was the silly law here in Germany. It makes upgrading much more difficult and even more expensive -.-

But I think one day I will buy a G&G G96.

And thx, Peyote. You are right with the costs. It would not really pay off to sell it and then start over with the G&G one.
