I'm wondering what kind of results you guy's are getting with various springs, I recently got 540fps with the element M125 spring in a M16 wih 440mm (I think std barrel)

So the point of this thread is to list the kind of results you get with your spring (mavybe list the other parts in the compression department)

You may want heavier bbs. FPS isn't everything.

Chrono with ,20g, in game i'm using ,28 - ,36, I know fps is nothing but my question was and still is what kind of fps you guys are getting with various springs

How does a m125 put out 540fps with .20s?
A m125 under normal circumstances should be putting out 410fps.

Hell my m4 has a m130 in it and it's only putting out 464fps on .20s.

If his claim is true, it's likely that he has a very small diameter and high quality TBB, not a standard bore barrel.

Although, assuming his barrel is standard (as he stated), these are more likely:

• The spring rating is actually higher than m125.
• The BB's being used are 0.12g or very "light" 0.20g.
• Higher chronograph readings due to faulty device or fluke results.

He could also have absolutely no air leaks somehow and the TBB like Silent said. I see no reason why he should lie about something like that even though his claim is hard to believe.

Yes, I get that it could be possible. More then likely though his numbers are off... That is all I was saying. I wasn't calling him a liar.

If they are indeed accurate I applaud him.

Anyway, lets get back on topic. I am getting 550 fps with my m170 spring. You can see all the parts in my description. If I didn't list a part it means it's stock. It's not an AEG but I wanted to get us back on topic.

The last set of springs that came my groups way were way under rated, and even clipped they are shooting hot (verified by multiple chronos). If it is a new spring, maybe we are seeing a faulty batch.

As i stated, I have a stock barrel, (brass, nothing fancy) I'm not trying to bragg in anyway i didn't belive the chrono either( going to test with another one this weekend) but my chrono still shows correct for my GNB and bolt sniper.. 3 kinds of ,20bb's have been used, the compression is damn near/spot on 100% I think most of the parts are Element and the barrel is TM or G&P

The reasons as some have listed i think:
I misstakenly got a TBB of extremly high quality by accident
The spring is seriously under rated
I got lucky!

All i have done to the gun apart from just sealing was polishing the crap out of everything that has to do with compression, also placing o-rings to the barrel in front of the hopup making it press back harder on the GB shell

Personally, I can get a m125 to 490FPS w/ a 6.01mm TBB.

If you have a stock barrel, then it must be an under-rated spring.

I give you the benefit of the doubt regarding your results. You've simply peeked my curiosity op:. Do let us know what you find on your re-test! :tup:

compared the spring with a friend and it fell's like his m135 element spring, also getting verry varrying hopup when changed to Guarder Black.. Any tips?
