My most recent Russian Sniper kit I ran at a local pick up game:
RS SVD with POSP 8x42 Scope
SMERSH with SVD Pouches
Splav LES Leshy Suit

Great all around ghillie suit. I actually have some ghillie gloves, and there is a hood that cover your head with a net that covers your face. Breaks up the form perfectly, and works well for really dark wooded terrain. The RS SVD is a great DM weapon but is easy to upgrade to a higher end AEG rifle.

Yeah very much so. I kinda of want to find something or make something for the SVD rifle to kinda of break up its shape a bit though. I also used various Russian Oversuits with this set up, and had good experiences with it.

Looks like a very light weight setup, probably blends in good too. If I were you, I would get some woodland camotape and put some on the stock and foregrip. Then get alittle 1x1 foot netting and wrap it around your barrel or scope.( Make 2 of them if you want them both covered). Then put a tad bit of jute and burlap, attach an elastic band or two on to each and you are done. My cousin does this with his old KA and it honestly couldn't look much better if done correctly.

Thanks everyone for your comments!

Furry I might have to try that suggestion for covering the SVD. One thing one of my friend's from Operation Eastwind was redoing the hand guards, and stock and making them darker as well.

Wolf I actually purchase this from someone in Poland on http://www.red-alliance.net/ and it seems they are hard to find but if you contact Dmitry on http://www.soviet-propaganda.com/ he can get some Splav items. Just tell him you are looking for a Splav Leshy Suit in Tiger Stripe.

Grass the SMERSH set up is VERY nice actually. I ordered the harness from http://www.skippersmilitarysupply.com/ which is ran by a friend of mine. Then I ordered SVD SMERSH pouches from Dmitry on Soviet-Propaganda. One pouch can fit 4 SVD mags, and has two grenade pouches. I have two pouches on my SMERSH. The butt pack is also a SMERSH one which can be attached to the back of the harness or put higher up on the harness making it more of a small back pack. I prefer the low one attached style so that I can get stuff out easier when crawling or moving. The butt pack can fit quite a bit I believe I had a few water bottles, a bag of BBs tied up to reduce noise, and a pistol. Grenade pouches fit the AI Tornado Grenades, but I used them for dead rags, smaller speed loaders, tape, or spare batteries for the radios. The shoulder straps has one radio pouch which fits most motorola sized radios with some room to spare.

Explosive if you like closer pictures try google Splav Leshy Suit which provide some closer up photos of the pattern. From a distance it appears very dark but actually has a camo pattern in it. You can also find some better pictures of the hood, face covering, and gloves that I mentioned earlier. I do plan posting more pictures but my SVD is currently being upgraded so I haven't been using it in the field recently.

Again thanks to everyone for the positive comments.

Thanks I'll ask Dmitry. As for the RS SVD I also have one and besides hop up bucking I don't find necessary to upgrade anything else.

I don't think it has a tight bore but the grouping are pretty tight. Also it has 420 fps again stock for a DMR I don't any more.. plus many pistons got ripped after upgrade.
Keep in mind that the second batch guns don't come with the spare parts ( piston and gears).
I very happy with it so I don't plan to upgrade it.
If you plan to get one use it a bit before you do anything.... you'll be amazed!

P.S. The Splav Leshy Suit in Tiger Stripe no where to be found , If someone want's to sell me his ... I'm listenig.

I can answer that question. Its perfect fine without a tightbore, and I believe you be hard press to find a tightbore thats long enough to fit the rifle. Though I believe I heard of people using PSG-1 barrels but again you don't really need it. Internals wise they are AMAZING! I had the piston go after over a year of use and when we opened the gearbox we were amazed on how the rest of the gears, and internals showed almost NO wear or tear. Most people if they do upgrade it only do the spring, and the hop up. Though one of my friends who had it also switched his to dean plugs. I read on Red-Alliance of people doing up to m150 springs. But with the stock m130 spring and hop up you still get 200+ feet. So all in all its a very solid system. Only complaint I have is the Real Sword SVD mag springs aren't that great. So sometimes you end up having to replace mags sooner than some mags. I just make it a point of unloading my mags after I am done playing to help increase the spring life.

Fuzzy I plan on attending an Op with this set up on June 4th. I shall make sure someone brings a camera and take some better close up photos, some of me laying in the grass, and in the brushes.
