Hello!

I am new here on ASF, but have read through many threads and such. I've been airsofting for 11 years now, and am new to sniping. So, naturally, I came here haha.

The S&T M40A3 first caught my eye on Evike.com, and I noticed it said in the description "the S&T M40A3 is equipped out of the box with a PDI type internal system and 90 degree steel trigger sear" which I thought to be interesting. It also stated it takes VSR springs and spring guides.

Now where my question comes in is..

I have recently purchased the rifle I mentioned above, and was wondering if any of you fine gents have any experience or knowlende of this specific model. I would like to know what parts exactly are VSR compatible, and which parts are not. I don't currently have the rifle to take apart due to it being on pre-order ATM.

S&T USMC Style M40A3 Bolt Action Airsoft Sniper Rifle (PDI Type Trigger) - Black, Airsoft Guns, Shop By Rifle Models, M700 / M24 / M28 / M40 / VSR-10 - Evike.com Airsoft Superstore

^^ Link to the gun.

Thanks.

I recommend getting dimensions on parts and pictures if you can do a disassembly. More information can thus be given to you, but until then I hear the 90 is very stock.

The thing is, it's on preorder and I don't have it to open right now. Yesterday it was pushed back to September so I have a long wait to get it.

I ordered the black one, but the OD green one has been out for awhile so I was hoping someone on here would have some knowledge of it.

S&T products are notorious for being pushed back for months and months at a time. About a year ago, I was looking towards purchasing the S&T DSR-1 for a bit of a project. Here's a bit of a spoiler, it's still on pre-order. I might suggest trying to get a refund on your preorder...

The S&T m40a3 is quite interesting especially on a springer platform. Tokyo Marui was showing off their version of M40A5 Sniper Rifle during the 55th Shizuoka Hobby this year, better hold off until 2017 until these get released in the market.
