Me and my friend plan to get the same Sniper Rifle just for fun and I'd like to get the WELL SR22 Bolt Action Sniper. It is around 120$ and seems decent out of the box. I'd like to get a JG Bar-10 but I wont have money after buying the gun and scope for upgrades. So I'm looking for a decent stock sniper to use for a little while to get into Airsoft and I need help. Is this sniper any good? Are there any upgrades for it? Give your opinion or background knowledge on this Sniper. Also if this isn't a very good sniper please give me suggestions on another one my max is probably 130$ :/

BTW I'm not looking for any AEG's with scopes or DMR's just spring bolt actions, thank you.

Make an intro post. It's in the rules.

If this is your first gun, then don't bother. Absolutely nobody should start with a bolt action. A stock Bolt Action won't even outrange a similarly priced stock AEG.

There's only two practical reasons to use a bolt action:
1. If the field you play at allows Bolt Actions to use a higher FPS than semi only DMRs
2. If you absolutely don't want to use HPA/CO2 but you also want a quiet gun.

Nothing out of the box will be particularly good. If you like the the JG bar 10 but think it's too expensive, I suggest you look at the Well MB02. You can get one for $85 from evike before a 25% march madness discount (63.75 before shipping). It also has a shorter barrel, which is good for joule creep.

That should leave you with some more money for upgrades, which should probably include a maple leaf bucking, also sold on Evike (and also with their march madness discount).

You shouldn't order any other parts that they're selling on Evike though. Instead you should save up for an AirsoftPro trigger ($90) and an 303mm EdGi barrel ($70). Since you're on a budget you could do the TDC mod instead of getting an action army hop-up chamber, although the latter is a good idea.

The JG bar10 is for sale for $65 on airsoft megastore. I generally do not recommend airsoft megastore as every purchase I've made from them has ended poorly, but it's there if you're interested.
