Should I upgrade my cylinder?

Is it apsolutely necessary for me to upgrade my cylinder on my bar 10 as they are quite pricey. Is it ok to leave it stock or do i have to upgrade the cylinder head or the whole cylinder and head? I'm currently shooting at 490 fps. If it is mandatory, please say a good, but budget friendly option. Thanks :yup:

You only HAVE to upgrade it if the stock one fails. It's a durability upgrade, it does nothing for your performance.

I would recommend upgrading your trigger and piston to a 90 degree set before you upgrade your cylinder, if you're looking for upgrades ;)

Jing Gong Bar10 cylinders can normally handle a M170 (560fps) and still last for a couple of years. So at 490fps, you are safe.

my stock cylinder ( after re-inforced and replaced with aluminium end shaft ) is still strong after 2 years. So I think you can save money for another first ;).
