I really just want a pistol that can compete with AEG's and is better than this Matrix Molon Labe M800 Cougar Semi Automatic Full Metal Airsoft Gas Blowback Pistol w/ Gun Case in magcapicity, preferably quiteness and accuracy

SSP18 or AAP01. I wouldn't go with ssx23 because trying to shoot fast with it starts to cramp up you finger. The AAP01 and SSP18 are both great sidearms that shoot fast AND can hop heavy bbs. However, the AAP01 isn't quite as classy as the SSP18. That's pretty much the only downside to the AAP. It is much cheaper though. Also switching the SSP18 to full auto on the fly is WAYYYY easier than on the AAP01 unless you buy a seperate part. I'd recommend the ssp18 over the ssp5 because the performance is basically the same, with the only difference being that the ssp18 can go full auto

The ssp1 is good too but if you were to get a 1911 style than go ssp5. It just goes back to lack of full auto. Also I don't think Novritsch sells the ssp1 anymore

i have an ssp18 and its pretty good but the app01 is better imo because of the compactness. theres also more aftermarket support for the aap. @Blind Sniper has an mp5 that he uses as a secondary so you could ask him about running a p90 or other smg as a sidearm.

the ssp1 got replaced with the ssp2. i dont see the appeal tho. i like the styling on the ssp1 more.

One of the hardest kicking pistols i have. Shoots straight. I havent actually gotten to field it yet, but so far its a great pistol. mags are decently cheap. 20 or 30 each depending on color. if you're into something thats a bit smaller, the Sig M18 has a bit shorter barrel and smaller magazine. But the magazines are interchangeable between the M17 and M18.

aap01 has lots of aftermarket support, higher rof, and its lighter and smaller. you can also put a stock on it for that smg feel without all the bulk

the ssp18 has the full size pistol feel, has traditional switches and feels better in your hand imo. it is heavier and has a bit more bulk which may be a con if youre going for the ultra low pro, lightweight setup.

in the end its your choice, but see if you can get your hands on both to try them out. if u cant find an ssp18, use a glock 18.

Havn't read all posts, bur I have some of the suggested guns

AAP01: nice blowback, only needs some ML bucking. Good sights, good ergonomics. Best with WE 50rd G17 mags. WE drum mag is extremely heavy, but has 350rd - works good to as a primary or carbine. AAap with no moving slide is more efficient and effective than the usual glocks - lower kick.

AEP like SSE18, Cyma Cm.127/131...
One of my favorites for cqb with some upgrades. Using a heavier spring, modded the triggerspring and trigger pull (not so snappy, but good enough). Works always in any weather and the 100rd mags are cheap and perfect for a light loadout. I carry 3 in a pocket and one in the gun. Tange 25-30m with a 30cm diameter - so more than good enough. Use 0.25g.

MK23/SSX23 nice silent pistol, but triggerpull is slower, so I use it always for woodland, but never for cqb. SSX23 is just a stti/asg with upgrades. Shoots 60m laser with a ML bucking and the hadron H-arm and TDC.

P90 Cyma with EFCS. Nice short package, can lift easily 0.4g with a ML decepticon. Can be silenced. Spring change is easy. Run it between 1.2 and 1.8J. Krytac 200rd mags are perfect and worth the money. Never use it for CQB because I prefer pistols. But I use it for Woodland as a mini DMR.

Is my main rifle for cqb - without stock. I like the limited firepower. If necessary I use the AEP with 80rds Has a 2 point sling and is easy to manouver. At 25m about 70cm diameter with 0.25g
