I currently own a KWA M1911 DS PTP. It is rediculously heavy.

So I want to invest in a different sidearm sometime soon. My requirements are Single Stack, Light but preferably metal slide and frame, NOT a gas guzzler, fps from 280-320, and not a glock. Any other modern pistol is fine.

So, any suggestions?

I have no idea what brand to start with for pistols that have a good rep for the requiremnts I listed.

You could just change the grip to a real wooden one and remove the lead weights that are usually inside.
Fixed grips. Also, its not so much the gun thats heavy, it's the mags; they weigh more than 1/2 a pound!

Thanks Fuzzy for the info. Can the mags take propane? Where do you buy your mags from?

What do you guys think about the TM Desert Warrior 1911?

What do you guys think about the Tm P226? I looked at it, it has a thin mag that holds 26rnds, and the new "E2" model has cool down modifictaions; so it doesn't coold donw as amuch. I also love the Sig Sauer design.

The E2s are amazingly comfortable. I got to hold a RS one and it just fits my hand so much better if that sways your decision.
Ya, I think im going to get this one because it still takes alot of internal upgrade parts.

People can still post if they have more input.
