Sniper Game in which calculating for elevation and windage actually applies...

That game looks nuts.


Would be something fun to try, as long as you can get a few guys to play along the same lines.

Arma 2 with the ace 2 mod is a blast! There are a decent variety of mods, and there are a decent variety rifles. You can even find mods with more sniper rifles that work with the ACE 2 mod. My only complaint is that the mil-dot system in-game is slightly different, and that some rifles don't have bi-pods when they should. It's one hell of a fun game! You may need to monkey around with it some to get everything working with the mod, but everything is totally worth it, There are two spotting scopes, ranging tables, tracer rounds, and more!

Yes It's awesome... though I've never got good result from the multiplayer!
It's an awesome game but has quite a few bugs!

PC, quite demanding requirements but worth every penny. It is a scaled down version of the real thing, the VBS simulator used by the military (some).

Ehehe Those are the UnitedOperations.net guys. It's a half-casual half-milsim clan, they are very laidback when not on official missions, but they are one of the best and well-known clans in that title. We've teamed up with them, ShackTac, GOL and other major leagues. You can have coop sessions of around 100 players. I've been in one with 98. Yes, you read it right..full CAS, infantry etc..it's a one-of-a-kind experience in your lifetime

Looks great but for the life of me I can't find how much it costs. I found out it requires windows but I can just run it under wine (I use linux). How much did it cost you guys?

There is a good deal on Steam actually, right now, but I heard it's harder to make it work with mods..and mods are the life of the ArmA serie..

You might want to take a look at this:

Yep. For highest setting you need a monster of a PC.
