Any good trigger set and hop unit suggestion? Also would L96 APS2 (like WELL MB01) hop unit fit? Hop adjustment location doesn't matter, what matters is would it fit or not. Gonna go for AA L96 hop unit if that's the case. If there's none, i might just get SSG24 hop unit and fit it in. I want to get Airsoftpro chamber since they already fit it with their TDC but i just don't like the AEG adaptor thing. My country doesn't have access to anything from czech anyway.

About the trigger unit, i want to get mod24 trigger but someone said that it won't fit SW M24. Anyone can clarify? If no cheaper option available, i'll be forced to get PDI since mine looks like already at its rope lol.

I know this one is an old obsolete stuff and i'd better go to modify/ssg24 but i want to use this forefather of those till it's dead lmao.

Also i'm planning to custom machine the receiver set so i can bore up the cylinder. Gonna push this ancient relic to the limit

Use the AirsoftPro website as a guide to what parts fit. They normally list if a part of thiers is cross compatible which helps work out what other companies parts might fit, than it's looking at measurements and placement of features.

I've noticed that I've been pinged

Short answer: Ditch the Snow Wolf and buy the SSG24 or the newer Mod24 series, it's just far less of a headache/you will end up going towards the same direction eventually

Long answer:
  • The Snow Wolf M24 can only use 1. the SSG24 chamber, 2. the PDI chamber for SNOW WOLF M24 (do not confuse it with the Classic Army M24 as they are unlikely to be compatible), and 3. the M24 chamber made by AirsoftPro (not recommended). The Type 96 (aps-2) chamber does not fit the Snow Wolf M24.
  • The Mod24 trigger can fit the Snow Wolf M24's receiver, but it cannot fit the stock without modding (which involves sawing something off from the stock itself). PDI trigger is ill-advised personally since the trigger pull is unholy tough compared to the Mod24 trigger.
(on an another note, the PDI trigger can fit in the Mod24 stock just fine)

FYI:

  • The receiver and barrel of the SSG24 are not interexchangable with the Snow Wolf M24 (you literally cannot fit a Snow Wolf outer barrel into the receiver of the SSG24, for instance)
  • The magazines are off-spec between each other and they will get stuck inside each other's magazine well, so you cannot just buy SSG24 mags and stick them into the Snow Wolf
  • In theory, it is possible to inter-exchange magwells since they could fit each other, but the SSG24 magazines are superior over the Snow Wolf ones (in terms of material choice; the Snow Wolf ones are extremely fragile and idfk why they chose such shitty plastics for it) you'd be better off if you can get the SSG one
  • The PDI chamber offers excellent air seal and some very insane accuracy, quite possibly better than SSG24's, but the best they could overhop reliably even after modding the pressure nub (thickening it with heat shrink) are 0.4g BBs due to an unorthodox design; It starts to struggle at 0.43g and beyond at least with a W-hold, could probably be better with something else; on the other hand you can easily overhop 0.43g with the SSG24 chamber

Personally I would just buy a Mod24 and be done with it, you get a much sturdier stock, all the parts you'd want them be replaced on the Snow Wolf, and a revamped design that's still in production nowadays (while the PDI ones are already well out of production)

Source of information: Myself, after actually buying both and did all the mods just to see if I can make a Snow Wolf shoot better than an SSG24 at a fraction of the price, which the answer is "could be done but ended up missed out a lot of the quality of life stuff while not a whole lot cheaper in the end"

@TenshouYoku wait one more question, now that you mentioned you own both and tried to mod them, can you confirm whether it is possible that ssg24 pistons and spring guide be used to SW m24?
Yes, I used exactly the Mod24 spring guide inside my PDI cylinder (they can use all Type 96 or APS-2 pistons with no issues)
You can also use SSG24 pistons inside the snow wolf ones since they are identical in spec

Cyma 702 might also be an option if you want to an m24 platform.
Not sure on ssg24 compatibility but AirsoftPro dies parts for it.
CYMA 702 has off spec cylinder, so you cannot use Snow Wolf or SSG24 cylinder assemblies

Some say the magazines fit after wear, but mine doesn't quite fit and will also get stuck
