In another post, I talked about how I had loose bearings/bushes. As in, I could move the gears around quite freely on their axis because the bearings/bushes would move with them. How do I fix this? How do I get those buggers jammed in there? If it helps, I own a G&P M14 (man, this gun has been nothing but trouble.....)

Shim the gears to push the bushings out. They are flanged so they won't come out of the gearbox shell. You want them tight enough that they can't move much if at all. But not too tight that components start binding up.
Thanks Masada!

Or you know, you glue the damn things in place in the gearbox.... In my experience, relying on shims to hold the bushings/bearings in place adds more friction to the gearset causing more wear to the motor and generates more heat in the wires. There are more reasons, like gear misalignment due to not shimming well enough.
