Hi guys first of all here is my vsr-10 build to let you guys know what I'm running so far before we get to questions.

Model: Well MBO3 VSR-10

External: Angle Custom-PSS10 Bolt handle

Leapers 3-9x40 Illuminated Scope & UTG Low-Profile folding Bi-Pod

Internals: Angle Customs: Teflon Cylinder, Spring (SP150), Spring guide, Piston, and Matrix Triple O-ring Cylinder Head

Stock Trigger box, sears and everything, have not need to replace yet.

Stock Hop-Chamber, Stock Hop-Arm with one shim, Modify Hop-Up Bucking, Angle Custom's 6.01 500mm TBB, and lastly 2 barrel spacers.

Mods: Teflon taped cylinder head and inner barrel and hop-up.
Shims in stock Hop-Arm as mentioned before, and some grinding down of the body to accommodate new bolt handle

Paper clip mod: Basically I found that the small spring in the trigger box used to engage the trigger on the left hand side of the trigger box is only held in by its own force, and found that it can easily fall out, wondering how it hasn't fallen out by now, after playing for a year with the gun. Anyways bent a paper clip to make a tiny spring guide for the spring to sit on so it wouldn't fall out.

FPS- 460-480 depending on how much Hop-Up is on.

Using .36 Green BB Bastards, also have a bag of .4 WE Grey BBs as well but have not used yet.

Lastly Range I'm getting is roughly 200 ft with .36 with half Hop-Up on.

So I have a two questions for the community today, and hope to get some good answers and input on them

1.) Should I change out my current inner barrel for a 554mm 6.03 TBB? Because from what I can gather, my original choice of my current 6.01 might be hindering my performance in terms of range.

2.) I bought a 9 bull Hop-Up bucking, heard great things about it, should I switch my Modify bucking for that one or not? Or maybe wait until my current one breaks and then switch?

If you have any questions about my build or suggestions, feel free to leave a comment, Thanks for reading and have a great day Airsofters!

I dont know, from what I read, on 1tonne's sticky post and in all the comments, he runs a barrel length of 554 mm barrel I'm pretty sure if I read correctly earlier, correct me if I'm wrong, but he says it works fine for him. In reality, 554 barrel is 21.8 inches vs. lets say a 500mm barrel which converts to 19.7 inches. So there is there really a huge difference in roughly 2 inches in barrel length? My stock barrel its selft was a 509mm barrel on my Well MB03

I would replace the barrel. .03 to .05 should be fine. DO NOT GO CHEAP WITH THIS. AC has terrible internal barrel finishing and there QC is laughable. PDI, Laylax, EdGI, maybe madbull. The most important parts in your entire gun (IMHO) is your barrel and hop up, as they hold the most effect on your range and accuracy.

Buy cheap, expect cheap performance. There are exceptions, but they are few and far between in my experience.

Preferably keep away from the Well VSR and get either a Tokyo Marui or Jing Gong bar10

You should be OK with that build just make sure you get the right barrel length.

Or an S-trigger from Springer. They're high quality, reliable and you can get replacement parts easily.
