What are the differences?(other than DG makes drop in kits) which one performs better? Does anyone have any decent comparative info? I may have a chance to buy a SP M16, but the Daytona gun drop in kits look nice. The SP is upgraded but maybe I could find someone selling a DG. What would be a good price for either of them?

I just saw this thread!

Both DG and SP base their systems on the Escort GBB engine.
Personally I've never used a SP gbb but I own 3 DGs.

Both probably will perform about the same, you'll get max recoil from both, the DG has the advantage of being "younger", this means it's more reliable, they use many parts from steel while the SP internals are mostly made of brass.

I'd suggest to get a DG, they are easier to get and you can drop them in many different bodies.
