I think they should create a board for spotters. There is almost nowhere to post anything pertaining to the spotters so far.

A spotter should be able to work like the sniper himself. So the roles can be interchanged. So to really have one is moot. Use the same tactics that a sniper would use, and use those when acting as a spotter.

This is true, but they should also use different tactics or at least use a different gun if there was a gun section for AEGs that aren't really long ranged I'd be happy.

EDIT: instead of a new section they could just replace the sun series section with a spotter section. I mean the sun series has 3 topics, and the last post was in 2008, Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that section is dead. If there are is a small section for spotters I can see this benefiting both sniper and spotter. Now I know is seems absurd that a spotter section could help a sniper but the more the they can understand about each other, the better they'll be able to communicate meaning better success.

Woogie is right in that the roles are interchangeable, so tactics should be the same and SOP should be left to individual teams dependent on where they play and what style, but sharing is always good

Donohoe I can understand that you may want something that would cover a different gun, or different class of AEG, but look at it like this. This forum is mainly concerned with accuracy above power, so anything that is used in the AEG section i.e. the DMR guide is able to work on a lower fps, full auto AEG that may or may not be what you want your spotter to use. I have been considering doing this exact thing to my G36 simply for the accuracy benefits.

if you want a better understanding of the spotter role i really suggest you role as a spotter with another sniper. Myself and lionguard switch off sniper/spotter every game. We are both snipers and we are both spotters.

but I have to agree with Woogie here that these roles are so interchangable; it should be in the general section.

but i would love to comment on spotter techniques if you wanted to start a post question.

I can see where you guys are coming from, but I still like the idea.

EDIT: A sister forums for snipers could be created, this would allow people to discuss less sniper related stuff and more scout/spotter/stalker stuff.
