I'd like to have 500 FPS with .30s at a manageable bolt pull. Is there anything higher than the PDI SPR 300% or would that suffice?

What's the FPS with .30s if you get 550 with .20s?

Around 500FPS(give or take 15FPS due to other factors) with .30g when you're shooting 550 with .20.

Okay thanks. And how's the bolt pull? I'm 5'10 about 180 I'm not strong as hell, but I'm nowhere near scrawny, is it manageable?

The PDI 300% is way more than you need. The 250% is about 590 with a .2 ('jsut bought an SS3000' thread). You can hit 500 with a .2 with the stock spring, and a nicer piston, you might need the equivalent of a m150-m160, I think the laylax sp150 or sp160 will do the job, not sure what that is in PDI terms.

All the percentages have always confused me. I like the way Laylax and just about every other company labels their springs (M120, etc.)

Laylax et. all rate based on meters/second w/.2's. I believe Guarder rates on .25's.

PDI rates based on a percentage. a PDI 100% will give you 1.00 joules (presumably measure with .2's) which equates to 328 fps with .2's. Thusly, a PDI 250% will give you 2.50 joules.
