Springer's SV-98 airsoft rifle

I want to share my progress with this Russian beauty SV-98 .

Its made to fit Maruzen/Well type 96.

If someone is interested in , most likely I will be making more of them.

Thanks. T-5000 is on hold. I had problems with feeding system. I will rework it as a VSR-10 gunstock if I don't solve it.

Finished. Not that flashy color as is on original, but I will let it as is. Its similar to color of the wood what I will be using for duplicating.

Buttpad on pictures is from plastic , so it cant be attached. When temperatures goes bit higher I will pour him out of rubber.

Also hand grip will be textured in later version.

Other than lacking color on the bottom side and maybe some too sharp edges(area behind the grip?) I like it very much. I assume the magazine sits 1cm or so inside the stock, not even with it? What kind of inserts did you use for the threads inside the stock for carrying handle?

Yea it needs some tweaking, sanding , fully agree.

With a color it was little bit tough. This prototype is made of one seriously hard plywood ( beech ) - only available in my area ( for work tables ) , color almost wont penetrate it. For a next one I will be using YOURS colored Finland birch.

Magazine is in the gun, sits around 1,5 cm inside the stock.

For this photo I used Cardboard inserts . I have inserts but I don't want to put them in because I would not be able to take them out. Here they are ALIEXPRESS Seriously strong inserts

"MASS" is strong word . But yes I have some basic duplicator.
