After reading the "Holy Grail to building your DMR AEG", I could really only take so much from it, considering I am not the best when it comes to AEGs. I just had a few important questions to ask, and I was also wondering if someone would help me straighten out all of the upgrades I have picked out so far.

So far I am going to get...

- Guarder 6.02 407mm inner barrel
http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/ShoppingCart.asp

- Prometheus perfect metal NEO Hop-up Chamber
http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/Prometheus_Perfect_Metal_Chamber_NEO_M4_Hopup_p/58048.htm?CartID=2

- CA-25 Bore Up kit
http://www.airsoft-barracks.com/store/CA-SR-25-Bore-Up-Kit.html

- Prometheus hop up bucking (Hard)
http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=31082

- Systema M130 spring
http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=26260

- Matrix Magnum motor
http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=29144
_______________________________

Now if someone could just tell me what I should get, shouldn't get, etc. I really need a guide for this project, as I don't want to mess anything up.

Alright, so I will go with a soft bucking, but doesn't that mean I should invest in two of them since they can wear out pretty quickly? Also should I go for Firefly or stick to Systema?

Okay, so no Guarder barrel, so what diameter and length should I go for excellent performance? I was thinking 6.01 but then I changed my mind to 6.03 (that is why I was happy to settle for 6.02) ::)

Lots of questions :)

Oh, I forgot one more thing, what is the max spring that you think my gearbox would hold up to without changing anything in there as of right now. I mean the stock gearbox, plus the bore up kit. Do you think I could run an M150, or should I just stick with M130?

Alright what are your goals? What do you want this gun to do performance wise?

The E1 SR-25 is a rebrand of the JG.Its interesting in that the GB is the same size as a CA or G&P,but uses stock mechanical parts save for the cylinderhead which is propriatary. This is actually a good thing because you will have a very broad parts selection over someone building a CA or G&P SR.

Keep the Systema bucking as they are a very good all around bucking. They are capable of performing very well at sub 400fps's all the way to 500fps and well beyond.Barrels, personally I am no fan of steele or stainless steele barrels.I have always been a big fan of brass, and my barrel of choice is EDGI.Come up with some performance parameters and I can help you with parts selection.

Okay well I have a quick question, if I was to purchase this gearbox http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=30443, and then drop in this bore up cylinder set http://www.thewarstore.org/airsoft-parts/classic-army-bore-up-ca25-extensive-cylinder-set.html along with this extensive piston http://www.airsoftextreme.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=443_444_455&products_id=5055, and then all being pulled my this motor http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=29144... would that all work together?

This way I won't have to worry about my gearbox becoming destroyed from the M150s power.

Oh, and my goals for the rifle would probably be around 1sq.ft. grouping at 200ft or so. I want to get this thing shooting like a gem.

Those are very good GB's I own two of them.To make one of those work in your gun you will need to also get the G&G SR-25 airnozzle and the G&G SR-25 hopup.None of the other parts you linked to will work in that GB. You want to buy from Evike right?Find the Guarder boreup sets and buy one of those for the M4.They also carry the hopup you will need.Ironically ASGI is where you will have to go for the air nozzle.Go to autozone and get yourself some Permatex anaerobic gasket maker to seal your PH to your cylinder.Go to the hardware store and get some superlube grease for the gears, orings, piston, etc,and some superlube spray aswell. With good airseal and compression you will be at 550fps plus with this setup. In fact while your at Evike pickup a Matrix 260% spring.I have one in one of my guns and im getting 538fps on one. There basically an M140 but its worth down grading and loosing a little fps to ensure the lifespan of your GB.You will want a mosfet at this point. Here is a link to another forum for Disguised Enemies sale thread, you can also get a resettable fuse from him while your at it.

EDIT: Dont skimp on the barrel,IMO get a VERY good one get an EDGI 509mmX6.03mm.You can order those from PolarStar Airsoft.

Sure, allow me to be your search engine. You already know where the GB is so heres the rest:

Boreup cylinder:

http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?cPath=24_348&products_id=28002

Boreup cylinderhead and Piston:

http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?cPath=24_74&products_id=26053

Hopup:

http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?cPath=24_71_372&products_id=31783

Air nozzle:

http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=31_265&products_id=3187

You will need to use the ICS CH because its the only boreup CH that uses a stock air nozzle stem, and G&G only makes stock dia.SR-25 nozzles.Notice how the air nozzle is out of stock.I linked you to the rest of the parts, surely you can find the air nozzle yourself.

EDIT:

I linked you to the wrong CH you will need this one:

http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=31_52&products_id=3727

Use the cylinder that comes with the GB.If its at all possible I would take that G&G CH to a machine shop and see if they could mill it to accept another oring for better fitment and airseal.I would also go with an aluminum pistonhead if I were you. They seem to hold compression better at higher fps than regular ones. You will need sorbo, and I would also radius the cylinder window for good measure.

Guarder buckings are my second choice over Systema. Are you shaving the hump off it in preparation to installing a SCS spacer?I do the same thing along with removing the lock line.I also fill in the lock groove on the bottom of the barrel to prevent the possibility of air leaks.I place the bucking on the barrel at a 45 degree angle to top center to insure im getting a flat, uniform surface for the SCS to make contact with it.

You need a boreup nozzle if you get a bore up kit. Imo though bore up kits are a waste of time. The volume increase is almost negligible. I would instead invest in a system which would give you the best air seal
Ironically enough all boreup CH's are not created equal. With the ICS boreup CH it has a standard size nozzle stem so boreup air nozzles wont fit.I have one of these in my CA AR-10 with a VS studio double oringed SR-25 nozzle, which is standard dia.If you read the edit to my fourth post in this thread,I told the OP not to buy the boreup CH and instead linked him to the G&G SR-25 CH because it is the only CH that can be used with the long G&G SR-25 air nozzle.
