Remotely happy with my build so far just wanted to post my build and see if there is anything I can do to increase the range or if where I'm at is in the zone...

Build

SRS Gen 3 Sport 20"
TnT inner barrel
Tnt Fast hop
Silverback 60 degree plat hop bucking with sanded nub
Silverback air break piston with med nib

Tuned to just under or at my field limit of 480 fps and 2.2j with .2 g bb's

I range tested it and with .45g bb's its flying almost perfectly straight to 240 feet.

My fast hop is set to just before 3 on the dial anything more the bb's just poop out the end.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Best

The stock chamber in my Gen 1 SRS was fantastic. Once you got it precisely set you just didn't touch it. I ran a R-Hopped edgi barrel with a modified bucking I got from bloomies airsoft. That paired with a stronger spring was the only upgrades necessary and it shot great.

Nothing wrong with it, but the harder ones clearly outperfom the softer ones regard shot to shot consistency. Amd durability of course.
I tend to go with 60º, but I'm going to switch to R-hop soon with an 80º bucking for better airseal.
Admittedly 60º is usually a bit soft and not all that durable, so 70ºis probably a better choice unless you play in cooler weather or have a lower power gun.
I think 80º is too hard though as you don't get as much grip so you need more downwards pressure which usually leads to less overall consistency in the end.

If you are going for rhop chose the 85°, that is night and day in accuracy compared to 60°. If you shoot over ~3.3J.
In srs regard the sealing the rubber hardness is almost irrelevant, thats again where durability will be the main point.

Durability hasn't been an issue either. I've never had any bucking tear on me at any joule level 4 or below other than the trash SM Flamingo buckings.

I'm not talking R Hop though, just VSR/GBB buckings (mostly) from Maple Leaf. So, with R Hop I could see durability becoming an issue due to having to glue the patch and such.
