SRS vs AACT10 vs AS01

Hello folks,

I wanted to start the sniper game in the past, but I couldn´t afford it due to some reasons in the past. Back in the game, I am in the position to spend a good amount of bugs on a new gun. Therefore I´m interested in some good old information about the guns and need some people with knowledge.

This year brought up some new stuff and I´m even more interested in sniping.

That said, I need you guys. Maybe you can help out.

There are 3 different models on the market that are interesting.

As you see in the title, the SRS, AACT10 and AS01.

Now I need you to help me, find the best possible gun for myself.

The main aspect is the tech and the possibilities.

I´ve had my hands on the SRS and the AS01. Both feel great and in terms

of quality, you feel a big difference between the AS01 and the SRS.
On the other hand, the srs costs 400Euro more.

My Questions:

SRS

What have to be done? You can buy the Gen in Germany. Do I need the fast hop up? New barrel? EdGi kit? HU bucking?
How does it perform out of the box and which length do I should buy?

I had the short one, but I want to get the maximum out of it, so what barrel lenght would be the best?

AS01
How does the project Nemo thing stand up against the rest?
What do I have to spend to get the best possible out of it?

AACT10
Fully VSR compatibel? Is this true?
What do I need to buy, to make it work flawless?
How does the thing feel? Wobbly, sturdy? Has it a good build?

All of the rifles, besides the srs, seem not to come in a lefty version, therefore I need to learn to handle it, but times tells that you can adapt to everything. Right handed AEG and pistol and it works perfect.

Mentions
Is the SSG24 worth a shot? I really don´t know and on top I don´t want to support someone who is not a good influence on the whole sport/hobby what so ever.

I appreciate any insight and comment.

Thank you in advance and have a great day.

I would advise you to buy a jg bar-10, then upgrade the barrel, hop up rubber and the hop up chamber and the nub. Replace them with Maple leaf crazy jet barrel, maple leaf diamond or autobot 70 degree, action army hop up chamber and a maple leaf omega nub. If you have budget left, buy the Action Army vsr-10 trigger, spring guide and spring. The jg stock cylinder can easily withstand an m170, so it's not necessary to upgrade. I can say this setup is better than ssg24. If you still have budget left, buy the action army teflon cylinder set.
I´ve held the jg bar 10 and the body feels so weak and I´m not a careful person tho. Guess I wouldn´t go well with me and the Bar10.
On top, it´s hard to get in Germany.
Then just go for the ssg24, he also sells lefty hand kits for it and it is accurate and has a butter-smooth bolt pull.
@Aapo cheers for the reply, but as I mentioned - I´m not keen to support nofridge, but if it was my last chance to get a great sniper, I would do it.

Unfortunately is the SRS in the same price range as the ssg24 and for the SRS there is a lefthand conv. kit on the market to, so I would go with the SRS. The solid and heavy build is more than worth the money compared to the ssg24.

@Wawan thank you!

@All is VSR the best out there atm? Lots of aftermarket parts and stuff, but is it really the best?

I think you will make good decision. SRS is great rifle, go for sport version, it's much cheaper and same quality, I have one. Vsr is great (maybe the best) platform wich need upgrades. SRS by my oppinion is the best ootb rifle for now. Srs have more weigt compared to vsr or ssg, but if you don't mind, than ok. I spend hours and hours on my vsr10 and now is great, but I spend half an hour with my srs and they are shooting the same distsnce but srs is more accurate.
Srs 20" sport cost 400-500€ and ssg 450€+ tax... at the end it's close to 700€.

When they restock it you can get it under 600 euros in germany
Vsr is the go-for if you know what you are doing. I find heavy guns difficult to operate on the field. You can customize your gun to your needs and i find it to be a important thing. If you dont like the toy-ish feel of the gun or the weight you can always change receivers, outer barrels, stocks etc. And the bolt pull with such a long cylinder compared to srs is easy. For srs the optimal cylinder-barrel ratio for heavy bbs is much less than vsr, probally about 300mm because it has such a short cylinder. Going over or under the optimal cyilnder-barrel ratio will decrese your accuracy, make it louder and decrease velocity. So the VSR is the best way to achieve the best-performing gun on the field. If you make the decision to buy a VSR the forums are going to help you a lot. I recommend you going for the jg or marui and full action army internals except bucking and nub (maple leaf)

Srs pull version has more cylinder volume than vsr, it's more quiet than vsr. I say w/o suppressor. In yesterdays game some oponents thought I'm shooting from gas rifle, it sounds like that. From 20-30m you don't hear it.
Only downsides from vsr are more weight and some time to get used to bolt pull.
I have 500mm barrel and 78cm long rifle. And JC of 20% for 0.45. These are the facts. And I agree that vsr is best if you know what you'r doing, but 80% of people don't know or don't care to tinkle with rifle.
That is the main problem, I don´t know how to tinker. I could learn it, but due to my own business + full time job + sports + ..... there is less time left for me. I would love to dump my money and have a great gun. Mustn´t be ootb, but I don´t want to do heavy work on it.

Thank you guys for the replies!

I agree, especially starting in the sniper role. Also a plus, Action army makes left hand bolts and reciever for the VSR/BAR 10, that aren't horribly expensive.

But to answer your original question, I would jump for the SRS, just because on a few occasions I've use one and I fell so deeply in love with it. You can read a lot on this forum for matching barrel/cylinder ratios and choosing the right weight bbs. That being said, go with the shortest option. I believe it's a 16 inch. The reason being is the bullpup design allows a longer barrel in a shorter package. So the 22 and 26 inch SRS have VERY long inner barrels, and not enough cylinder volume to really make the gun efficient. The 16 inch has a similar barrel length to the VSR, making it much easier to achieve the best cylinder/barrel ratio. Hope this helped

When you are making your final decision keep in mind that the VSR / BAR-10 rifles are nice and lightweight - while the SRS is one heavy piece.
I really like the build quality of my SRS but the heavy weight makes me wanna switch back to my VSR-10.

Could play with my VSR-10 for weeks without getting tired
