Stainless steel cylinder (with seam inside)

Hi guys, im in the proyect to make a steel cylinder for my e1m28 since there's no steel cylinder out there!, but the steel tube has a seam inside. Do you think that seam will be a problem to the piston seal?

You talking about a regular steel pipe? Yes, that will ruin your piston in no time. And they are not perfectly round. I’d get a solid block and mill it down outside and inside with lathe, then very fine sand it and polish it a lot.
The seam is not that rough, It's very smooth!

It’s rough and it has leak written all over it. Unless you can sand it smoothly with the walls, but in the process you’ll probably make it egg shaped and not round, which is a headache for getting it leak free also

Another option get another gun’s steel cylinder that is similar and you could make it work?
Let me know if there's a cylinder that fit in the echo1 m28!, no...there is no option for that...damm m28...i love it and i hate it at the same time xd
If you can't buy a cylinder for your gun, take your original to a machine shop to have one made from your choice of steel, probably expensive to do, but you'll only have to do it once, unless you have access to the right tools and the "knowhow" to do the work, you'll be wasting your time.

Wt? Who is Andy? Xd
Making a steel cylinder from zero it's very expensive, and no other cylinder of other brands or models of sniper rifles has the same length, the only solución for me is the stainless steel tube. Some guy in this forum make his own cylinder with a copper pipe, i don't know if that worked in the end til today
Contact EDJI custom works. I had him custom make me a m28 cylinder, so he should still have the dimensions I gave him. Not cheap with shipping, but very high quality.

I don't know you either Hamlet, don't think just because I'm new on this site I'm new to airsoft, I have been in automotive engineering for over forty years! So I do know a thing or two about working with mechanical devices.
Pistons run in smooth bores, not a bit of poxy pipe with welds in it! Go ahead don't listen, waste your time. As for copper pipe, soft metal! Not unlike the crappy aluminium cylinders that most of these springer guns come with, another waste of time and effort.
