I was thinking about getting the Star M14 EBR (as says the title 
) and I was wondering if there was a better gun for the money. My spending limit is $270 and I would prefer to stay lower for the upgrades. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Yeah Oh well maybe I'll have better luck next time.
Edit: I looked on e hobby asia and found the SOPMOD version for 249.99 don't know what the difference is but yeah and its probably still gonna cost an arm and a leg shipping

SOPMODs are shorter again than an 18" SOCOM EBR in both barrel and stock. IIRC they use a 16" and the chassis is quite abit different aswell. Ideal for CQB sniping
