So I finally finished my build and have a consistent FPS, accuracy and effect range. It’s taken countless tear downs and a lot of tweaking but im super happy. Build list is as follows:

Chassis: Maple Leaf MLC-S1 in OD Green
Receiver: BullTrigg One Piece (GSpec)
Inner Barrel: Stalker Morpheus 420mm
Hop Chamber: Action Army with Masada Arm
Bucking: Stalker SRHop 70° with teflon mod
Cylinder Head: Masada Cylinder Head
Cylinder: SSG10 Steel Cylinder
Piston: Masada Piston with full airbrake
Spring: RAPAX 2.8J
Trigger: SCW 9.2 Trigger

With this build I’m getting perfect airseal and 2.32J on 0.48s, getting good groupings on a torso sized target at 75m. Being based in the UK this is bang on the thresholds we have for joule output.

But I’m always looking to improve… One negative I’m finding is noise. Despite the airbake I still find the rifle shoots quite loud (no spring rattle or chassis rattle, pure piston/air noise). Any suggestions to help welcome, with the noise aspect or anywhere else on the build!

Thanks!

Hey Akami, hows it going? I did think that, so I used some rope to pull the trigger from about 8m away. It was quieter for sure, but noticeable
Hey, sorry for the late reply, was doing some IRL stuff but I'm doing good.

Try to make sure all the screws are tight and no wobbly parts. Their vibration could cause noises louder than we think.

Also just me personally, but I like to make sure that the cylinder head is mated up completely with the hop chamber since I noticed that some guns have little gap between the chamber and cylinder head.

I glued some thinly cut sole from hiking sandals to the face of the chamber. Personally I think it helps dissipate the vibration since now the impact of the piston is spreaded along to the hop unit. Probably not the best idea since now the chamber is vibrated together, meaning it could move the hop adjustment but so far I have no problem.

A suppressor made the biggest difference for me. I like the novritsch one. It's easy to install and it just works.
Haha, funny you say that.. I ordered one and it came in a couple of days ago. The difference is night and day, genuinely blew my mind… I did reconfigure the baffles though to create chambers beyond the inner barrel
