Nelson is right about some scope mounts that can accept either SVD or AK side rails (We're all family here, it's all good). I have one on my SVD-S--right here
--and I don't like it very much. Aside from breaking the traditional POSP/PSO look, it's not very ergo (sharp rails, which is why the rail cover is there), is high, and just looks fugly. Did I mention it looks fugly?
Well it works for airsoft, and I don't necessarily need a real scope.
OT: The best thing I like about your SVD is the little strip of rail underneath the handguard. If you attached a grip, or replaced the rails with a grip, you could start building an SVU. Of course, bolt pull is gonna be a bitch. But hey, the PAS kit is out there for a reason. If you ever decide to go bullpup, I fully support you.
