I was recently thinking of trying out a gas BASR and stumbled upon a pretty good deal on a Tanaka M700 AICS. It has a tapped mag, and most of an external rig. All I would need is a reg and the tank itself (I believe).

Now, after doing some research over the past 2 days (and reading every post refering to an M700 on these forums) I have discovered that my first task is to replace the hop with a KA unit, a new housing, a nice bucking, and a better inner barrel.

Now for the hop chamber, I've found the KA conversion kit on evike for like $80. I also found on evike the housing (I think) made of CNC by Creation, for $65.

However, I also see that G&G has several parts for this rifle as well, including a Hopup set for roughly $26 ,

My question is which to use? I know that this topic has been brushed upon a thousand times, but I cannot find any post that outright says which is the best, or who uses what, or if I even need to.

G&G also has a smattering of other parts for this rifle found throughout the web, and I am curious if I were to need any of these as well.

Please help! Or delete if you don't feel I've done enough research on my own heh.

Thank you for your answers. But am I to understand correctly that the g&g housing would be an alternative to the creation housing? If I were to get the KA conversion kit, and the g&g instead of the creation, that would save me like $40?

But I do appreciate your help, I am significantly more confortable buying this rifle than before!
